Crate suggestions

Hi -- well after months of searching we finally found our goldendoodle and are going to pick up Missy in 8 days!! We are looking for a crate --- does anyone have any suggestions. Is a wire cage with divider panel best way to go? Missy will be about 9 and a half weeks old when we pick her up. Thanks for any suggestions. This will be our first dog!!

We ended up getting the midwest crate with the divider. Now just need to get a few more things before we pick her up on Saturday!

We bought a large midwest wire crate with a divider so we don't have to purchase another crate later. At 5 months Chelsea has never had an accident in it, and has comfy bedding so she loves going in it. We will just keep moving the divider until she is fully grown. It was also our first dog, and great fun.

I bought the wire LifeStages crate. It is wire and has 2 doors. It comes with the divider panel and folds nicely if you ever have to take it somewhere. I got it at Amazon.com. It was like $58 and free shipping. I believe it is the 36" model..

Riley was 8 weeks when I picked him up and about 9 pounds. I divided the crate in a little less than half and put a soft blanket in there for him. He has room to stand up, lay down and stretch out and turn around but that is about it. I covered the top and sides with another blanket so it was nice and dark in there for him. He loves it and has not had one accident in it.

Do you mean the soft-sided crates? I've seen a couple I liked but one reviewer wrote that his puppy chewed through it so I wasn't sure if that was good to get.
