Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Beware, beware, beware. I just noticed that Dave Nikkel from Manitoba is still advertising on this site. He is using pictures of a dog(s) that are not his and have in fact stolen them from another breeders site. He stole $300 from me under completely false pretenses. He tried to sell me the dog shown in the photo for his site and after much research I found out this dog does not even exist. It is just a photo he is using to try and fool others (like he fooled me) to take deposits from multiple purchasers. I was not able to obtain any help from Paypal in this matter. Mr. Nikkel stopped responding to my e-mails and blocked my phone calls immediately after taking my $300. As I say, I have since found out the dog he is selling does not even exist. You need only go to his site sales@labradoodlesforsale.net to see the photo I am referring to. Take a look at all of his other "available" dogs and you can see they are all a mix of mongrels. His site also states he will not allow any potential buyers to see his dogs. He claims it to be for the health of the dogs. This man is totally corrupt and without morals of any kind. Beware, beware, beware. I felt it to be my duty to notify anyone looking to purchase a parti doodle to avoid this man at all costs.

Update ... the following link about Dave Nikkel is a further testament to this man's lack of character. He was formally a building inspector for the city of Winnipeg and was charged and found guilty for taking brides to overlook safety violations at construction sites. Here's the link http://www.dailycommercialnews.com/article.id25642

Oh that is so disgusting! Sad to say, there are some horrible breeders out there. Websites can be soooo decieving. I am actually on the look out for a poodle pup myself. I actually spent about a year looking before I bought my first doodle. Research is time consuming, but worth it. But I completely get the emotion thing. Because when you are ready, and they are just sooo darn cute and you want one really really bad. I got my hopes up a couple of times just to have them crash when I was looking. But, with that said, there are alot of really excellent breeders out there as well. Take care! Let us know if this guy ever gets shut down...I hope you can eventually get your money back.

Hi Melissa

Thanks for correcting the site address. I'd hate to reference the wrong site and have a decent breeder being referred to instead of this man. He is the worst kind of scoundrel I think as he plays on ones emotions for the sole purpose of robbing them. He is also the worst kind of puppy mill. You'll notice the puppy photos on his site no doubt. These are photos used last year for a breeder in New Hampshire and her litter or parti's. I had a friend who lives in Winnipeg Manitoba (about 30 minutes from Mr. Nikkel) drive to the Nikkel farm and up the laneway to the house. He was turned away by Mr. Nikkel who threatened to call the police. My friend stated the premises were deplorable and that there were over three dozen apparent puppies of all different mixed breeds in cages around and in the garage(s). Apparently the pups were caked in dirt and smelled of urine and poop. Bowls were scattered around, some with brownish water in them and some with what appeared to be kibble. There was garbage strewn everywhere apparently and every pup was inside a cage with as many as 6 others. Evidently there were multiple cages and numerous pups. Mr. Nikkel also had 2 different pups chained to a "stake" in the ground with only enough chain to make what appeared to be a 3 foot cirlcle. These pups were also filthy and thin. This man is the worst kind of human being. Someone should tether him to a stake in the ground and give him 3 feet of chain to move about.

Hi,
I just went to visit this site. When I used the link you gave, I clicked on the first thing I saw and it was someone else's site. I backed out and did find the correct one. I just want to give the guys home link so an innocent person does not get caught in this...www.labradoodlesforsale.net. If you use this link, it should only show him. What a scoundrel. Does Canada have an attorney generals office you can file a complaint/charges with to get your money back?

Mike...did I send you all the info I found on Dave Nikkel?....For example: did you know that it appears that he was a minister with a Mennonite Church?..not to attack a person's religious beliefs...but it's interesting how the majority of puppy mills in the US and Canada are Amish and/or Mennonite owned......I thought this info on Mr. Nikkel was quite revealing.....

There is a breeder in Spokane Valley, Washington who sells her "labrodoodle pups" out of an old stationwagon in strip-mall parking lots. Also will not allow anyone to come to her house or view the conditions of her "kennel" or home. So I agree. Doodle buyers beware and do your research.
