Do doodles have a sense of humor?

I have suspected for a while that despite all my efforts (a la Doggy Dan) to establish myself as the leader of the pack, Belle has concluded that I am here for her entertainment.  I carefully refrain from playing with her if she brings me a toy to start her favorite game of fetch, as only I am supposed to initiate play. That doesn't stop her from constantly bringing me a variety of toys she hopes I will throw.  One day, I was standing by a counter folding laundry and suddenly a soggy tennis ball soared over my head and landed on a (formerly) clean sheet.  I looked behind me and there was Belle giving me that innocent look: "Ball? What ball?  Oh, you have one there in your hand. Well, if you want to play I guess I could oblige you."

Now she has identified a new challenge: the computer chair. I replaced the wooden chair with a wheeled metal office chair that Belle can't chew on.  She quickly figured out that if she grabbed my sleeve and ran, the chair and I would accompany her across the kitchen, wheeee!  I took the wheels off the chair, which was then too low, so I put two cushions on the seat. Yesterday I went to sit down on the chair and the seat wasn't where I expected it to be and I crashed onto the suddenly low surface.  I turned around to see what the heck had happened to my chair and there was Belle, with one cushion hanging out of her mouth, and the other on the floor with her foot resting proudly on top. I swear she was laughing at me! Belle 2, Mom 0. What next!

I burst out loud laughing at Belle's antics and startled my two doodles laying beside me.

My Hershey doesn't like to be told to go potty, so she will glare at me and go lay down until I ignore her then she will go outside like it was her idea.

You can't help but laugh cause they look so darn cute doing anything good or evil!   And they don't want you to forget your world revolves around your Doodle!

I love that Belle rolled you across the kitchen! I DO think Doodles have a sense of humor and it can sometimes be "evil". LOL. They plot, connive, and sabotage. They are too smart for their own good; or our own good!
