Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I've always loved taking pictures, and then trying to improve them and share them with friends and family.  I also have always loved my pets.  Currently, Zach is our canine family member, and Peeps is our long time feline kid.  And so, after my two human kids grew up and moved away, I began combining my love for pictures and animals.

Here's a backdrop on me...once my husband and I became empty-nesters back in 2006, I decided to try to find a job.  Now back in the early 80's (pre-kids) I had a great job in the aerospace industry as a computer programmer analyst.  HA.  That was a looooong time ago, and of course not worth anything on a resume.  Kids came along, and I stayed home with them.  So now, basically, all that prosepective employers see is 'stay at homer' on my resume, even though it is filled with what I think are valuable assets.  Wah wah wah, right?  The bottom line is that I can either find a low-paying job, or go back to school to retrain myself.  I HATE the idea of parting with cash to do that, though.

I had a one year gig in 2008 as a bank teller when I lived in the Austin, TX area.  But then the economy happened, my husband lost his job, and we relocated back to our roots in Southern California.  I haven't really put any effort into finding a job yet because I've been having too much fun doing other things.  As such, I've filled my time with lots of picture taking and sharing, most especially on that accursed social site, that's right.... Facebook.  I've been branching out lately in the PhotoShop Elements arena, using free online tutorials on Elements, and have decided to make the ole doodle my favorite subject.

And so the subject of my blog.  I'm trying to learn how to make Zach pictures into Zach cartoons.  I posted my first few attempts on my page here, but today I decided to put these Doodle Day cartoons on their own Facebook page.  Please feel free to look at them, and comment on them.  I would really appreciate comments on how you think they would be better, or if they are even interesting to look at.

Feel free to "Like' my page and follow it.
Thanks for listening!  I've never made a blog post before, and I kinda like it.

I think you are extremely talented and I am on my way to like you on Facebook. I think there is a group on DK for creative people like yourself, but I am drawing a complete blank in regards to the name. Hopefully, someone will post it, if they know.

Thanks for the encouragement and for taking the time and effort to 'like' my page.  I haven't really been an active participant in this community yet, but in 'lurking' as a reader, I'm always impressed with what a great group of folks hang out here.
