Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Many of us are not ashamed to stand up and say" My Name is ________ and I'm a doodle addict, however there are some side effects of being addicted to doodles and DK. Some are good, some not so much. I'll start with the good ones first.

I learn tons of stuff that is necessary to be a good doodle mom

I get to meet and chat with lots of new friends.

I get to share and feel good about all the doodles in need that find their forever families because of DK.

I get lots of good laughs and occassionally a good cry.

I learn many useful things unrelated to doodles. (Thanks Photography Group)

My typing has gotten a whole lot faster.

I hug and kiss my doodle a lot.

Not so good side effects:

I haven't finished reading any of the 5 books I've started.

My house is not as clean as it should be.

I stay up later than I should.

I miss my favorite shows on TV.

I sometimes am late starting dinner.

I lose track of time when I'm on DK.

The doodle is getting a little spoiled.

Being a true doodle addict. I wouldn't change a thing.

And it is obvious that you have been listening in that photography group too. Wow, what a wonderful picture of Quincy.

This is the best addiction ever! Even the cons aren't really that bad. I just hired a cleaning person, since I never seem to want to clean, so I'm helping the economy. So, now, because of DK, I have a cleaner house, and more cash is finding it's way into the economy. It's win - win. And I agree that this photo should be a calendar submission. It's just beautiful!!

This is why Auto usually does it for me. As you know if I can find the camera and myself it's a major accomplishment. Then if the memory card is in the camera and not the computer my world is OK.

Why thank you F. I am really trying but it is just so hard to keep it all filed neatly away in my brain. I need to know how to "Just Do It" in the moment!!! Things are slowly sinking in though :)

We're waiting..... You are certainly the most dedicated among us, Nancie, in terms of classes and your work shows it.

Donna, again, another perfect photo!!! I have such trouble with sunsets. What I see is NOT what I get. You don't have a ton of time to be messing around with your settings and experimenting either. I have a class tomorrow morning on general stuff but I am going to ask the photographer if he can give me a general starting point for a setting. I took another night photography class last Wed. Got the moon and of course the usual city lights. I'll post later in the Photography Group!!!

Another stunning photo. How lucky to be able to see sunsets like this from your step.

That sunset is amazing. I remember some like that when I was stationed in Alaska many years ago.

Ditto, my kids are looking for clean laundry.

Thanks Nancie, just another of my lucky shots. I'm sure I was shooting on auto as this was taken a year ago. F5.6, ss 1/500, ISO 100, Tamron Tele-Macro 70-300mm. This is one of our favorite places to go and Quincy just loves sitting on a walking along this wall. We just back from there a few minutes ago, I didn't take any pictures but at least 3 other people did. There are pictures of this doodle from Newfoundland to Holland. I did just take this picture of the sunset from my front step.
