Doodles + Hot Flashes

Oh my, why does Bodi have to lay SO close to me when I wake up with a hot flash??  He knows that I'm awake and he thinks I will give him some loving . . . .but all I want to do is COOL off - that's impossible with a doodle cuddling close!

F, I was at the point that I would have bought another freezer just for the pillow. I came so close to making a spectacle of myself at a department store once as I was stripping and going out the door at the same time. Lucky for me and everyone around me, I managed to get outside before I was down to my skivvies. This was in the middle of winter and I would have happily rolled in the snow if there had been any.

Oh, you poor young folks : ) Who has room for a pillow in the freezer? Usually it's a strategic mission to get anything in there.

Put an extra pillow in the freezer, this feels like heaven in the middle of the night during a power surge.

O.K. - enough of you have contacted me so I'm just going public with it.  Also I might add that my insurance doesn't cover it but at $40.00 per month - I'd stop eating before I gave it up - lol.

Bio-identicals are mixed at a compounding pharmancy - made to the specs from your dr.  Not one size fits all like the synthetic hormones, which happen to be made for horse pee - yuk.  I started out with the cream - you rub in on your inner thigh or inner arm - once a day.  The hot flashes stopped within 3 days, I started sleeping again (and oh yes the old sex drive came back - bonus!!!!).  After 6 months I have now switched to pellets that are inserted just under the skin on the hip.  They are good for 6 months at a time.  Some peoplem, including my sil, who is a retired dr. - she doesn't believe in them - and yes there is some risk but I'm willing to take that - it is the fountain of youth.  I suggest you internet research and then make up your own mind but I swear by it.

OH Girl, I feel your pain.  Everyone get away from me!  I come out of the covers thrashing.   I have no problem removing a doodle who gets to close to me at night

Rua learned right away she can't sleep between the edge of the bed and my feet!  I alternate between throwing covers off the entire side of my bed, to pulling them back on!  She now sleeps between the edge of the bed and DH's feet!

I am right there with ya! They stink. Achilles sleeps downstairs so I don't have the added warmth of a doodle.
