Excited and had to share!

I am picking up my first foster doodle (through IDOG) tomorrow morning in Athens, GA. I am beside myself with excitement! His name is Wilbur and he's a beautiful chocolate dood (at least I think he will be, once he's had a good bath!).

Of course, this could be a disaster, but I'm just really excited!

Frannie what do you know about the Wilbur (love the name BTW)? He looks like he is going to be quite handsome once he is cleaned up. Athens is a college town (I know, I am an alum of UGA), it is not unusual for the students to get a 'cute little puppy' and then get busted by the GRA or parents. Then the poor thing gets dumped at the shelter. Such a shame since UGA has a wonderful veterinary school (even if they rejected my application in the '70s). But they can't take in every former pet. So sad. But so wonderful that you saved a life.

I am so thrilled for you!!! Just remember that he will be very unsure of the new rules so you must give him time and work with his potty skills as if he was a puppy.

Oh wow Frannie , he is sooo cute, what a face....I am not sure I could foster a dood like that or any dood, and then give him up...But bless you for saving another wonderful soul...Can't wait to see more pictures and hear more about the adventures of Callie & Wilbur...Love his name, and it so fits him, lol
