To say it has been a crazy month or so, is putting it mildly...
In mid-Sept. my DH and I went to look after our two grandsons for a couple of weeks. I had been very stressed over Sophia's biting and nipping and was going to buy a muzzle, to keep the little ones safe from those razor sharp teeth. Sophia surprised us both as she was extremely gentle and loving to the boys. Yes, she loved to play and jump but did not nip or bite. My daughter also has a very old and gentle boxer that would put Sophia in her place when things got out of hand. Sophia learned more in the two weeks we were there than I could have ever taught her. She learned by example...
There were so many new experiences for her as well. She has gone to a pet sitter, travelled 1600 miles by car to Maryland, spent two nights in a Pet Resort and has gone sailing on the Chesapeake. She is still having house training issues, but it really is not her fault.. It must be very confusing for her to know where the spot to go "potty" is when she isin so many different homes, hotels, boats and kennels.
Sophia is now 4 months old, has leaned to walk at a heel, sits, stays, rolls over and shakes a paw. She still likes to nip me and chew on only my shoes, clothes etc. She does NOT do this to my DH...
Her baby teeth are rapidly falling out, she is now more of a copper colour than deep chocolate brown and weighs a whopping 25 lbs. Lots of changes.... Looking forward to reading all the latest news on DK..
