Here is an update on Lyric--she is definitely expecting and due around Feb 6-8th--she gets so queasy during the 3rd-5th weeks that I have to feed her her favorites and give her several small meals during the day and evening--she has no appetite until noon! Boiled Chicken, scrambled eggs, cheese and anything else she will eat! She is doing well though and not losing weight--and her appetite should return big time in just a week or so.
Rio is fine after his neutering and has the same personality without the macho element--he just loves to play and is a happy and affectionate boy. I have not yet had him out and about on the leash (it has been super cold here) but I will see if he growls at other dogs less when I do get him out there--it cold be another month before all the hormone stops circulating though.

HaHa! i can see why you call him Rio!
It's good that you found something that Lyric likes to eat and I'm sure she'll be happier.
Quincy and I walk on the local golf course at this time of year and one of the employees has a PWD that is alway roaming free and accompanies us on all walks. His name is Fenway but on more than one occassion I find myself calling him Rio. :>)
Good news Ginny! Glad you found some doodle candy for Lyric!
Found a solution to the eating issue than to the suggestions of other breeders--Fresh Select--available in a refrigerated section in some pet stores and grocery stores--Lyric laps it up like candy! HOO-RAY!!
Congrats and I hope Lyric feels better soon. Looking forward to puppy pics!
Glad to hear that Rio is adjusting well to his recent "loss". It will be interesting to see what the effect will be on his pack. Hugs for Lyric--most of us know what it feels like. I wish I could recommend my favorite pregnancy foods to her--mince pie and Cain's sandwich spread, but probably good that she has her own favorites.
Ginny, how fun for you! You are so experienced now, you have what Lyric needs nailed down. I can't wait for future baby postings....
Oh, and there are TWO DK-ers with dibs on puppies! How fun!!
Oh, great news about Dolly--Good luck!! Lyric shows her "symptoms" more than most so don't be surprised if she doesn't change her eating habits...
We haven't had the Ultrasound yet but my Dolly is possibly expecting her first litter about a week after Lyric's. It's my first time too so I am watching her appetite (no change so far) and attitude (not as playful). It is an exciting time.
