I belong to a family comprised of "die hard" Red Sox fans. This time of year is very stressful for many of my family members.....especially my DH and DS. I know nothing about major league baseball, but the Sox seem to have a way of playing with the emotional well-being of my family every year at this time. We took the boys out for a little B-Ball practice today.....we want to be ready in case they're "called up" to bail out the Sox. Muprh is a pretty darn good athlete..and he knows it. Guinness.,..well not so much. He's like the kid who is always picked last. We try to let him join in, but it's difficult because Murph thinks he's useless. So here's a summary of today's practice session with the boys. Murph is ready to head to Boston if he's needed.
I'm ready...isn't someone going to throw this thing!
Too bad, little Dood....you're going to have to actually MOVE if you want to catch the ball.
I ditched the nerd...let's try this again!
YES!!!!! Put me in coach....
This one looks like it's going over the right field fence!!!
A brilliant save by the big Dood!!!!
So, Big Murph is ready to go at a moment's notice. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

Murphy's skills would put JD to shame, and that's saying something! Maybe we need a Doodle All-Star Team to compete with some of the pros. If you think Baseball season is tense for Red Sox fans, I have two words for you...Chicago Cubs!
The dogs look gorgeous, BTW. I can't figure out how you keep them looking so clean and well-groomed, despite the weather and the ball playing.
(PS: Guinness, I was the kid who was always picked last, too. In the long run, the Brains usually do better than the Jocks, trust me on this one.)
