It's with the heaviest of hearts that I tell everyone on DK that our wonderful Dalmatian, Maddie is gone.  We had the worst week of all time, ending in Friday where we held her as she took her last breaths.  The vet had informed us she likely had a brain tumor, which was what had caused her and us the agony over the last month or so.  She had a wonderful 13.5 years on this earth and taught me what it was like to love a dog.  I could never forget her and all the wonderful times we had together.  Thank heavens for my sweet doodle pup, Harper, who literally kisses my tears away.

So sorry for your loss . . . (I lost my mom the day after - 3.29) . . . Memories and photos are a wonderful comfort and you still have Harper to welcome you home at night with a wet nose and a big kiss.  Mooki is our first dog in 20 years.  When I put my Saint down I thought I would never be able to have a dog again and then this wonderful bundle of curls came into our life in 2007.  Virtual hugs to you . . .

I am so sorry about your loss.  Your memories of her will help you through as will your adorable doodle.  We lost our 13 year old german shepherd and we thought we wouldn't get another dog.  Now we have the 2 and they are wonderful. We still think of Tobie fondly, he was a wonderful dog.

I am so sorry to hear this. It is never easy. Your memories will overcome the feelings of loss and agony you have felt the last month and you will be able to smile again. It will take time, but doodles will be with you in a way no one could ever be for you. Thinking of you.

What a sweet girl!  I love the background on your photo.  It looks like her coat.  Yes, a new dog can be such a comfort when you lose a treasured pet.  Your Harper and my Harpo both do a great job of kissing away the tears.

Oh my heart goes out to you!  We laild to rest our 17 year old Westie last summer...was the worse time in our lives.  It took some time to not feel the pain and even today, if I see a little white Westie trotting towards me, I can cry!  You do know about Rainbow Bridge....and one day we will all meet up with our canine loves at Rainbow Bridge!

So sorry to hear about your loss. What a terrible thing for dog and human to go through. Harper knows how you feel and kissing the tears away...the best thing on earth, Myla does that to me all the time.
