It's been 24hours since Toffee's spaying operation & she can't / won't walk.
It's as though something is pulling and she takes two steps then puts her bum on the floor and licks her wound.
We thought it was some matted hair that was pulling around the stitches, but we've given her a good trim and still she won't get up off the floor. I've put her food out of her reach meaning she has to get up but things don't seem to be improving.
We have to return to the vets tmrw (Friday) for a check-up. I guess I'll wait until then to see if the situation has got better.
It is just so hard when you're baby is in distress. :o(

Good to hear that Toffee is herself again. Now to keep her from the surgical site. Fun times!
Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear she is doing well now. Most of us here are Daft Doodle Moms when it comes of our babies not feeling well so welcome to the club! LOL
Just a quick update. Toffee started being her normal puppy self Thursday evening. The stitches from her wound are still annoying her, but the vet says she's doing well.
Thank you to everyone who commented. It's so nice to know there's people there when you're being daft over your doodle. :o)
I would call the vet. When Sadie was spayed she really never missed a beat.
I would also call the vet. She may be in pain. After Izzie was spayed, she refused to walk very much. She got out in the middle of the back yard and refused to walk back in. She would just stand with her back kind of arched. I had to go out and carry her back in. The vet had to give her something for pain and she was fine after that.
I would call the vet too. Tara was up frolicking the next day as well... please let us know what they say.
I would at least call the vet today! My two were done at the same time, and by the next day they were back to their puppy selves for the most part.
