I have not used it before but excellent price. Includes Tag, GPS monitoring when dog gets lost, and $3000 worth of pet insurance if dog gets hurt while lost.

Only 1 day left to purchase online thru Groupon-I have used Groupon before and they are legitimate.

Sorry, I was only trying to let people know that this isn't like a GPS tracker. Since people often don't read replies I just wanted to catch their attention. Of course some people may still want this tag and it was good of you to post this information. Also, if you have Pet Insurance, it should also include what this insurance does.

Above is a TV station ad showing in more detail what this includes. I think it is valuable tool for the cheap price listed-you have a choice how much personal info you provide to someone who finds your dog when you setup your contact info. It also includes a decent amount of emergency medical insurance ($3000) if dog is hurt while lost, so for me it was worth the money-missing notifications sent to shelters and vets is a plus. But, as some of you mentioned it may not be for everyone. You are not required to renew or pay a fee unless you continue the Silver or Gold service past first year. They say on their website they have a bronze service that is free, which is only if someone contacts them they would have your contact info. I do not believe this deserves a warning, its using new technology to help people locate their pets. Pethub.com has info for those wanting more details.

Just thought I'd bold this. This is not a GPS unit but a GPS capable tag. It will not tell you where your pet is. If someone scans it, you can see where that happened on your computer, doesn't seem to be of much use to me. And you would have to pay a fee yearly after the first year.

This tag only gives GPS info when it is scanned. So, for instance, if Luca is missing in the neighborhood, I could not track him. At least that is how I understood the information. It seems to me it would only be of limited use. If someone finds him and they want to return him they have all the information they need with his tags and chip, Scanning this wouldn't really change anything and they wouldn't scan the GPS tag if they want to keep him. Here's what the website says. This is not like a full time transmitter.
