Angelina, one of the female Maltese we fostered from the horrible puppy mill in Oregon had been adopted several months ago. She and her buddy, another rescue Maltese (not our rescue) named Rocco, came to stay with us for a week while their mom was out of town on business...

Both Angelina and, especially Rocco, thoroughly enjoyed playing with Holly and she enjoyed them. Rocco is a very energetic and playful dog while Angelina is more sedate. Rocco would roam our yard following Holly...

What made us feel great is how happy these two rescue Maltese were when their mom came back to pick them up this morning. We looked at these happy, clean, well-fed and well-groomed dogs and know that this will be the happiest holiday season in their life. Looking back, it has been a successful (30+ Maltese) rescue year for us...

Holly still has six Maltese (two of them fosters) to play with. Another foster Maltese, who just had a puppy is getting used to Holly coming near the puppy pen and no longer growls at her. As soon as the puppy is old enough, we will put his mom and him in a puppy pen on the livingroom floor so that Holly can come up and kiss the baby through the pen. Holly just loves puppies and is very responsible and safe with them however, we don't let her play with a puppy unsupervised...
