Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Now for those of you who are familiar with the Australian connotation for doodle, get your mind out of the gutter, that is not the doodle I am referring to. To say that our weather has been atricious would be an understatement, we have had 2 weeks of cold, rain, drizzle and fog, and when I say cold that's exactly what I mean. It has been so cold we now consider 60 degrees a lovely warm day. Getting the doodle out to exercise has been quite a chore and he does get a little stir crazy after a couple of days. With all the rain we have had, our favorite trails are really dirty and muddy, not a good mix when you have a cream colored doodle. Well today it isn't raining so we decided it was time to break out and go for a hike, so off we went to one of our favorite trails. A few feet into the beginning of the trail we encountered our first of many giant mud puddles, so what do you do when you want to keep your doodle clean, wellllllllll, see the attached photo collage.
Despite the best efforts of DH, there was just too much mud to battle and we now have a freshly bathed, squeaky clean doodle.Comment
Donna what an awesome DH you have!! Wow! I am truly impressed with his diligence! Love the photos! Especially Quincy's face! He cracks me up!
The down side to darker doodles is that they can be filthy dirty and you can't tell! We took Tara on two hikes a week apart and then gave her a bath. OMD!! Chocolate syrup going down the drain! But to look at her you couldn't tell she was dirty at all!! At least you know. :)
ROTFLMAO!! I saw the title of your blog thinking "Great, Donna has an idea on how to keep Clover clean". My mind was not in the gutter until I started reading.
What a great doodle dad and I love the pictures.
