Okay. I know better. I do. I have a soft crate for Rusty (the 4 month old) in my bedroom and his regular crate in the living room. He's outgrowing the soft crate and can't really stretch out like he likes too. Last night he finally figured out how to unzip it. After putting him back in 3 times - I finally just said forget it (yes, I should have though about safety pinning the zipper thingee but it was 2am!!!).. Anyhoo, I left him out.. with Lucy. He came over to the side of the bed and laid down and I thought "Cool". Boy was I wrong. I woke up this morning.. he's still by the side of the bed....mmmm I was lulled into a sense of security. Then I walked into the living room. CRAP. He'd taken a 500 page book and completely, and I do mean completely, demolished it into 2x2 pieces. It looked like it had snowed in my living room!! sigh. So, I'm off to get a bigger crate for the bedroom.... sigh. I know better.

Gee, sounds like Ned. He likes books but his favorite is the trash and toilet paper! I have also made the "mistake" of leaving not locking the crate. I did remember to shut the bedroom door. I did not remember to check the bathroom door!

Fergie doesn't go in a crate anymore but if I leave any newspaper or book or magazine around when I'm gone - it's gone! She loves to tear those things apart. That's all she ever chews up (except her own toys) anymore. Hasn't touched shoes or clothes at all. And she never even thinks about books and paper it when I'm home or even at night.

Ohhhh... I could have written this blog. I did write one very similar a few months ago! Joe and Capp have the longest poodle like legs. They fit in their crate, but their legs are so long that their heads touch the top!

Like you, I thought: I should have known better! Hope you took photos of the naughtiness! It will be funny one day- perhaps not today- but one day!
