I think I need a 5 Year Old

I had my little great niece (wow that makes me sound old) yesterday. Lucy and Sophie did so well with her. After the initial excitement of her arrival the rest of the day went extremely smooth! We had no tears from being scratched all day (that's a first). Lucy and Sophie just don't realize that they are bigger than Emma and seems we always end up with Emma in tears. Yesterday though they entertained each other all day. Lucy would lay at Emma's feet under the desk while she played Dora on the computer. The only down side was the house was a mess ...... they had dog toys everywhere! At the end of the day Lucy and Sophie were exhausted!

OMG, it was so funny. I snuck her in the garage door when mom dropped her off and put her on our bed to go back to sleep because I didn't want the puppies getting excited and barking and waking her up ...... soon as I came out of my room back to them in their room, they could smell her on me and they went crazy wanting to get to where she was! Fortunately, she didn't go back to sleep and was still in a good mood so they didn't have to wait very long for her to get up and play!

Our Doodles are so amazing with kids. Guinness is always so happy when the grandkids are here. He especially loves my six year old granddaughter....he'll follow her nonstop the whole time she's here. Looks like Lucy and Sophie are loving having a little girl to play with.
