Proud of Luna the party dog

I just have to say how proud I am of Luna today.  

 

We had about 30-35 people at our house for my niece's birthday party and we decided to give Luna the run of the place with everyone there unless she seemed as if she couldn't handle it.  We were a bit worried she might get overwhelmed, since there is just my husband and myself so we normally have a very quiet household.

 

 

At first when guests (people she has never met before) started arriving she was unsure... and she was VERY unsure about the helium-filled party balloons.  She ran straight to her bed when she saw those balloons, but being the curious George that she is she came back downstairs 5 minutes later, eyeing the balloons suspiciously.  As soon as people started eating all her fears melted away due to the large volume of tasty scraps hitting the floor (chicken and beef shawarma, rice, salad, pita... yummies!)

 

 

There were several small children at the party who love dogs.  They ran up to her excitedly with their arms flailing and Luna just patiently stood there and then let them pet her.  When she'd had enough she just calmly walked away.  Very cool under pressure, Luna!

 

 

Good job, Luna!  I guess growing up  in a neighborhood overflowing with young children has made her into a good party dog.  She's all tuckered out now, poor thing. She's having a nap with daddy who is also tuckered out!
