Still the sweetest puppy ever! Originally we had wanted a female-we've always had females-but after more thought I decided that I wanted a little boy this time. We made the best decision-he is the most loving little guy. Our females have always attached themselves to my husband-even our Yorkie. This time Jack is totally a momma's boy and I LOVE IT! He had a well check at the vet today and immunizations. Our vet was pretty impressed with him and said that he would take him in a minute and that we had gotten very lucky when we got him. He walked in on his leash like a pro and laid at my feet until it was our turn. They couldn't believe how well behaved he is. He goes to his crate when he needs to willingly (for a treat) and behaves until we return. I work 3 nights a week so when I am sleeping days he sleeps with me-like a baby. When I am sleeping nights with a husband there just isn't room in our bed so he either sleeps on the floor on a blanket or in his crate. No potty accidents even when he is loose in our bedroom at night. He wakes me if he has to potty by standing at the side of our bed and licking me! I am so proud to say he has never had an accident in his crate. We are still working on using the potty bells-mostly my fault that he hasn't caught on as I haven't been consistent. I am just so used to him tromping down the stairs that as soon as I hear that pitter patter I am rushing to let him out. No accidents at all for several weeks now. Now- he does have his naughty side. I have about 5 skeins of yarn that may be tangled beyond use ( I like to knit). He is so fast!! He chewed the corners of my Lifeproof iPhone case-guess it isn't puppy proof, chewed up my slippers and today chewed my leather wallet. I tell you he isn't left unattended but he does it in the blink of an eye!! At 14 weeks he is 21.6 pounds. He is 17" at the shoulder. His coat is getting longer and starting to part down the middle. He had his first bath this week since we've had him and survived. He was freshly bathed when we picked him up from the breeder at 9 weeks so I really hadn't felt the need to bath him until now. As much as he likes to play in the water I thought he would love the bath. He was pretty indifferent. Using the HV blower on him was a different story THAT is going to take some getting used to for him! He is over his colitis (knock on wood) and thriving. We are mixing his Nutrisource that he came home on with Fromm's 4 star and he LOVES it!! I really like that it is an ALS and our other dogs can eat it as well. A couple times a week I still treat him with fresh baked sweet potato and fat free yogurt. He loves them. The little stinker is a typical toddler that doesn't like to share. If the other dogs have "his" toys he barks and barks at them until they drop it and walk away. He cracks me up!

Pam, Jack is so handsome. It's kind of ironic our stories are quite similar. We have always had male dogs...our last dog a beautiful, handsome golden retriever was a Momma's boy...he was my shadow. When we lost him last February...I swore that I would only look at getting another male dog...but what happened...we fell head over heels in love with our sweet little female peanut. And she is the sweetest, cuddliest, Momma's girl...we are thrilled with our decision...it was meant to be just like your sweet Jack!
