Lilo saves the day
The dogs and I were out walking on one of our local trails this morning when Lilo suddenly stopped in her tracks, sat down, and looked up (both she and Rocky were besides me, offleash). She refused to move, so we all stopped and looked up - I didn’t see anything at first, but just then, a very large branch broke off a birch tree and crashed down on the trail right in front of us where it broke into several pieces!!! Lilo's hearing is obviously much better than mine. Phew, that was a close call. Had she not warned me, we surely would have gotten hit by the branch. She earned an extra treat for knowing how to alert me and for paying attention. I'm so proud of her!!
