We've been seeing these flyers posted EVERYWHERE no matter what part of town we are in and it gets my attention and I keep wondering what happened to this Yorkie? Well I was reading the community news online and I saw what happened which makes it even worse. I'm so happy that it is microchipped but still no good news. What a sad thing to happen.

We only require a fence if there are kids under the age of 12. We always prefer one, though.

Thanks Karen, I agree. My old landlord mentioned to my husband wanting a labradoodle-her lab passed away at 15 2 years ago. So I told him tell her about the rescue! I started writing the info down, but realized they didn't have a fenced yard. This may change though, they are looking for a bigger house they need 1 more bedroom now so I'll probably give her the info if they move.

This is so common for rescue dogs. they are frightened, they are confused, they are disoriented, and they will bolt if given half a chance. Maybe when people read this they'll understand why rescues are so careful about placing dogs, and why we prefer homes with fenced yards.

I know people don't always think these things can happen to them. Hopefully we'll hear some good news soon, seems like they have a lot of people searching.

This is exactly the reason that foster and new adopters are asked to make sure collars are tight (not enough to choke cut tight enough so they can't slip out) and to have a harness on also with 2 leashes. We know the birdbath that frightened this yorkie is not a scary thing but since he never saw one before it had to be extremely scary.

Mickey, my GrandDoodle who was also my first foster, had never walked on grass. It took him 3 days before it was scary anymore.

We humans have to see their world through their eyes.

I pray this little guy finds his way home!!!!!!
