We have a Maltese who has had lose stool lately and a persimmon tree that has dropped some fruit.

 

We didn't connect the two until we saw the little white dog eating a persimmon which was on the ground.  Previous to this, we thought that the persimmons on the ground were gnawed on by rodents or birds.

 

Holly could have produced a BIG MESS had she eaten the persimmons.

When we lived in Hawaii we had a Springer Spaniel that ate bananas, papayas and mangoes that dropped off the plants and tree in our yard. We had plenty so it was okay to share with her. Somehow she managed without getting sick. ;o)
