Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Life has been crazy lately. Callie the foster doodle is such a sweetheart and it's been fun watching her develop. Clover and Callie play, play and play some more. My yard is going to need a little more grass seed. These two have made a race track around the pool, across the deck, to the otherside of the house and down the fence line to the pool. Who needs Calgon when you can watch a Doodle Race. It warms my heart and puts a smile on my face no matter what kind of day I'm having.
Lexi has been volunteering at the nursing home reading to the residents and puts on quite a show. She stands up to read holding the book open and walks around so everyone can see the page. One of the ladies is known as the old grump. Out of all the people this is the one Lexi likes the most. The two of them go round and round, putting a smile on everyones face. Lexi had a swim meet and couldn't make it one day last week. Grumpy asked why Lexi wasn't there, then proceeded to complain about it. These two are quite the pair.
Last week I was given the opportunity to re-open the town cafe rent free for the first year. All the equipment was updated and a new addition in January of 2009. Due to poor management it was closed six months later. I know customer service and management, but nothing about running a kitchen. Lots of research and thought going into this.
On top of everything I've started putting fence post in to increase the size of our yard. Had to put a new belt on the lawn mower today. Replaced the circuit board in the washing machine. Carpets could use shampooing, but may have to wait until after the Fourth. Working on the finsihing the Veterans Memoral landscaping in town. In charge of the kiddie parade on the Fourth. Pontoon needs decorated for the parade this Friday. TG DH works out of town during the week or I might just go crazy, LOL.
Oh, I almost forgot, I don't have far to go cause I'm already there.
DK I've missed you.

You're amazing, Tina. I am so grateful for all you do for the fosters, and so glad to know you.
You go girl! I'm so impressed by you and I think I love Lexi! Is she going to be a teacher or a performer??
Saving a rescue and see it have a fun normal life could take a frown away anyday for me! Happy 4th!!
Thanks Everyone, Lexi has won over the hearts of the residents. I believe they enjoy watching her and grumpy the most.
Lucy - If I decide to take on the challenge Yes and YES. What a great idea to have a contest.
Laurie - If I only had Martha's talent of cooking, lol.
Jane - I wish I could take a video of these two and share because of privacy laws I can't, oh phooey (grump term).
Adrianne - I've been waiting for a new cord to charge my camcorder. My BF's son is teething and chewed it in two. Looks like Callie may have found her forever home, so hopefully it gets here soon.
