Mommy's Girl is going to the Dr. without her today!

Daisy is going to the Ophthalmologist today, her Daddy will be taking her. I am at a loss on how to feel about this. I am always the caregiver, always the one my girls come to when in need. Daddy is the playmate.

DH is feeling a little unsure as well. He always comes along but is not the questioner. He has been drilled on what to ask, not to make the appointment for surgery without conferring with me and lots of notes.

The good thing is DH took the entire day off so the 2nd half of the day will be nothing but fun...it snowed and they are going to the park.

Last time I sent DH to the vet I had about 5-6 questions he was supposed to ask and he only forgot one of them :)

On a side note...When dh went for his check up last year...I wanted to make sure he had his Vitamin D level checked...and some other things...I wrote him a note (so he would not forget).  he actually showed the note to his Dr- LOL

Oh good luck Lisa!  I know just how you feel.  I am the same way about my DH and important appointments.  Not only do I send a list with him but give him the 3rd degree when he gets home about who was working, how did it go, what did the doc say, how did the dog behave, what tests were done, who was in the waiting room, what was his weight and on and on and on.  This sometimes even involved role playing.  For example "ok, I will be you and you be the vet..." Control issues?  Moi?  Noooo!

I think he will do just fine.  I sent mine with Boris for his neuter surgery as I didn't want him to pick up on my nervous vibes ; ) Good luck!

I bet your DH will step up to the plate and do a great job! Sometimes they do surprise us :) LOL Besides, you have to work :) Sorry, I could not resist :) My dogs hate going to the vet, so I would be thrilled if your DH came and took them for their next visit.
