Monique is the topic, - again

Monique is looking more pregnant than ever and that should be the case since the vet had her due for delivery last Friday. But here's the thing - I don't think the vet was accurate. I took Monique for an ultrasound at what I had calendared as 28 days, as we do with all our moms. The vet said she looked more like 40 days, so I re-calendared Monique's due date closer than I had previously noted. But she didn't look very far along and her due date came and went. Her milk just came in over the weekend and she is now looking as if the pups will be coming along soon. So, I am re-adjusting my re-adjusted due date for in between my original one and the vet's and come up with Wednesday, April 15, just in time for Monique to pay her taxes. :)

Kristi - I don't know why she would think that Monique was 12 days farther along than I thought. Monique doesn't look big enough to be having a large litter but she is carrying then very low - looking down on her she looks thin but when she lies down, her belly is very visible. This is her first liter so I don't know if she has her own little way of doing things or not!

I'm down with waiting a little longer. After all, they say that the longer the wait, the sweeter the prize will be, yes? I just hope Monique has an easy delivery when the time comes. Teri, because the vet miscalculated a bit, do you think she might be having a large litter?

I'm hatin' it too, Amanda! I didn't think the timing seemed right when the vet examined her but she was looking at an ultrasound -- her cholostrum is in, though, so it is imminent, if a few days away. I know your time with your baby before you go to NY is dwindling down each day that passes. I'm sorry!
