My Second Birthday

Hi! Haley here.

This morning started out as usual. Mom got up, left the room, came back but instead of saying “Good Morning Haley” she said “Happy Birthday Haley!” She made the bed, got dressed and we went downstairs. We went through the usual routine – out for a pee and then my breakfast. After I had eaten breakfast I told her I needed to go out to poop, heehee, I fibbed again. We came in and Mom went to the garage and came back with a bag and said “this is for you Haley” and out she pulled an unstuffed raccoon!!!

After awhile when the frost had melted and mostly dried up and it was a little warmer Dad took me outside and we stayed there most of the morning. We picked up pecans, did some weeding in the fall vegetables and played some Frisbee. Then it was lunch time and I was ready for a nap.

After lunch Mom and Dad went upstairs and I went to see what they were doing. THE WERE MOVING MY CRATE TO THE OTHERSIDE OF THE ROOM!!! WTD? They then went into the guest room and came back with a big dog bed which they put where my crate had been. Mom said it was time for me to graduate to my own bed instead of the crate!

We went back outside and Mom got a big sweet potato out of the garage, washed it off and gave it to me. I love sweet potatoes! I ate my sweet potato – boy was it good.

Then we just messed around outside playing some Frisbee, a little yard work and Dad fixed the tail light in his pickup truck. Finally it was time for my daily grooming. Mom gives me treats to stand still while she combs my fur. What and easy way to get treats.

Now I’m going to take a nap and wait for dinner. What a day.

Happy Birthday Haley, and don't ya just love those unstuffed critters? My Mom says they are the only ones I can have, because they last and I can't destroy them, whatever that means. I have a raccoon, a parrot, a yellow dog that Mom says looks like me with a doodle nose, and a fox....I love them cause they can squeak, and i can chew them and nothing happens to them...I have a whole bunch of them, and I keep them in my crate at night, and then I take them all out in the morning for the day...You are so lucky, u got a big bed, Mom says she doesn't trust me to sleep out of my crate, not that I would go potty in the house, she says I am too curious, and could get into trouble. But I love my crate, and I don't mind. I am glad u had so much fun today my friend....Oliver
