Wow! It has been a little over 2 weeks since we brought Norman to his forever family. I've been meaning to sit down and post for a while now, but we've been trying to get back to our pre-Norman schedule & it has been a little bit of an adjustment.
We had him two months, so he had plenty of time for his skin to heal. We're definitely missing him at our house, but we could not have asked for a better family for him!
He has a new big brother, a Great Pyrenees, and a new "little" big sister, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, plus two parents that love him like crazy!
All of our friends asked if Adoption Day was hard, and if it was hard to say goodbye. I can honestly say it wasn't. He is such a sweet little guy, and I feel so blessed that we had him in our lives. I know that he is so happy in his new home, and it was such an honor to give him a good start.
Best wishes on your new start Norman!

What great news, a forever family for Norman. Libby thanks so much for helping him have another chance at happiness.
Congrats Norman-may be forever happy!
Norman is a doll. Thanks to Libby and the DRC for all you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for helping Norman move on to a good life with his forever family. He is just as cute as can be!
DK & DRC made my day today! You guys always have such sweet things to say!
Jacquie -- I have to say thanks to you, Jeanine, & Tracy for giving Russ & I the opportunity to foster! Even though we had only a moments notice, DRC was wonderful to work with. I was very lucky to have Doris (a friend & local DRC foster mom -- thanks, Doris!) around to help, and with all of your help the whole process was a lot less scary :-)
What a happy tail!!! Great job!
I had been praying Norman would get adopted soon. Thanks for taking such good care of him until he was. Great story!
Special thanks to Libby and Russ who did such an incredible job with Norman and to Doris who as always, does so very much to help DRC and our rescue efforts in Texas. It' so hard to believe that Libby and Russ were first time fosters! They took in a stinky, matted, flea infested, unknown pup with a serious skin condition with basically a moments notice...As I recall they even had a house full of company when Norman arrived! They didn't bat an eyelash and really gave Norman more love, affection, attention and care than he has probably ever experienced in his entire young life. He turned out to be a great dog and now he's an even more exceptional pup thanks to Libby, Russ, Doris and our incredible crew in Texas. THANK YOU!!!
Happy Tails to you, Norman! May you live happily ever after with your wonderful new family!
Libby, thank you for taking such good care of Norman and helping him find his forever home!
These "my foster has gone to his/her forever home" stories alway make my day! Great job, Libby! Good luck, Norman!!
