I took Lilly to get groomed today and came back with only half of my dog!!!! I asked the groomer for a summer cut, you would think she would of left some hair on her face and head (she looks like a flat head) she keeps cards on how she cuts her each time I go...I want my doodle back!!! I know, I know, she will grow back but I just needed to vent a little.. On the other hand, Lilly loves it she was sooo hot before.

I think I would feel the same way when it comes to the head and Face, Kathy. I really like longer fur and a beard, especially on Duke. I'm glad that Lilly doesn't seem as hot, that's what I'm hoping for when I get Sheba & Duke groomed.

I think she looks great, but I understand what you mean about the face - you want that doodley face. Her length on the rest of the body is perfect for the summer though!

Her coat is about 1 inch now, I don't mind her body being short but I'm having trouble with her head and face. I think it was to much all at once. She does have more energy today,and not panting so much or laying on the AC vents. Thank you everyone for all your nice comments.

I knopw you must feel badly but I think Lilly looks gorgeous either way. The groomer may have taken off a lot of fur but she certainly did not take away ANY of Lily's looks!

I think Lilly is so beautiful either way. I am partial to longer coats though. If either of my doodles came home from grooming and looked like Lilly I would be happy! How long do you think her coat is now?
