Our new little stray Bunny. Rescued from a drainage ditch.

On my way home Wed morning with my Aunt, I saw this guy standing on the side of our rural road in the ditch. He was trying to pick up an animal. So I slowed up to see if he may need help. It was a bunny. He didn't see me when he kicked at it! ARRGGG!! That bunny ran right into the culvert drainage tube under the driveway which led to an old farm without a house. Duck and chickens where out though.

I told my Aunt I would drop her off and return to see if he needed my help on the other end (even though I wanted to tell him a piece of my mind).....he was gone when I got back, so I spent about an hour going back and forth with this little guy and finally won him over to stay at the end, I reached out and he let me tuck my hand behind his ears...yahhhhh, his little head was all tilted off to the side, so I called our vet and they saw us right away. He had an ear infection. He was house kept they said, and relatively young. They have Pet Apothecary sending me antibiotics first thing in the morning (our vet did not carry bunny stuff)

UPDATE: this morning: This is the sweetest Bun, so friendly and the best med's taker I have had, Ever! (bonus is the Banana flavoring, I think) He is eating very well and now has a much larger crate. He is holding his head much better this morning and he loves his out of cage hops around for snuggles!

UPDATE: Bunny Bunbun now called by the kiddo's, has graduated to daily runs around the room in the funniest Zoomies I have ever saw....and is now living in his expanded 3 dog crate complex. Only 10 more Days of Antibiotics/3 times a day to go. His head is becoming a bit more up and the vertigo seems to be a bit better as he zoom, zoom, zooms..............

Today's Pic :LOVE my carrots, apples and hay! Potty trianing in the litter box has quite a bit of work though.

OK well, I have now figured out that he is a SHE! She is quite the snuggle bun still, has the run of the spare-room with a small dog bed which she thinks is the berries! Spoiled Bunbun, but we love her so. No one has called the local shelters or wrote the papers yet to claim lost Bun.........

Loven the litter box......

What a neat story! Thats is so awesome how you helped this little girl and made her part of your family! Do you have to keep her away from your doodles or are they okay with her?

Maybe the kicker was also the drop off guy. What a CREEP! Bless you for the time, the interest and the compassion to help this little bundle of fluff. He is beautiful.

:) that is all still to be determined. I have him in our spare room right now. The doodes have followed me in, but they did not give a peep to his presents. I have a closed door policy on the doodes when we have Bun out though. There is still hope that another family lost him. I gave all of the info to vet and H.S. and I am checking the papers.... Our Vet and I do too, think that because of the ear ache and the cost of the meds......someone dropped him off to have rid of him. :(

How do your doods get along with the cute little fella and do you think the guy was trying to get rid of the family pet because it was sick? He was the sick one BTW!
