Our Visit With Aunt Karen

Many of you may have noticed that Karen the Queen of the Food Group has been MIA.  She's been here in CT visiting her best friend (me) and her "boys"...G & M.  It took great courage for her to get on that plane after not flying for 16 years but with a "little help from her friends" she did it!  We had such a fun weekend, and we were so busy that I never thought about taking out the camera.  We did think of it yesterday morning, but at that point G & M had gone off to Daycare because we were heading the the airport.  So I did manage to get Tim to pose, but unfortunately that's our only picture.

We had gone to our little local pub for dinner Friday night and when we got home we were ready for Yappy Hour, but nobody was on.  We were "bumming" but did some yapping of our own.  Saturday we showed Karen around, took her to our Training Facility/Dog Food Store (where she gave a little consultation to the owner who was having problems with a rescue puppy itching), and I made her the PIE that she's been waiting for.  Sunday we went to the beach for the day, and Monday she headed back.

It was so awesome to finally meet.  Karen is even "cooler" in person.

Wow, Karen, you flew!!!  I am so glad that you and Jane got to meet. Two of my idols in the same place at the same time - I think I felt that all the way in Calfornia.

I am so glad that Karen summoned up the courage to get on that plane. It's wonderful to hear about the visit and that's a great picture. Now I think we all want to visit Jane. :>))

Tim and his women ... Definitely a ladies man!  I cannot believe you Jane of all people did not pull out that camera.  However, I know how quickly the short visits go and how the photo ops gets missed.  I think I'm totally shocked though that Laurie did not make an appearance in CT during this visit!  So glad that you guys had a wonderful time and got to meet and become even better BFF's I'm sure.  However, glad you are back Karen, I know I missed you.

Fantastic!  Kudos to Karen for getting on the plane, and leaving JD for a while.  Kudos to Jane, Dave and Tim for being hosts with the mosts.  Sure sounds like it was fun for all.  Loved hearing about this friendship made by dogs!

What a beautiful picture of Karen and Tim!  I'm so proud of you, Karen, for getting on that plane -- and what an extraordinary thing that two people who became best friends on DK finally got to meet in person!  Very happy for all of you -- including Guiness and Murphy-- who must have gotten lots of hugs and kisses!  Jane sounds exactly like the person we all imagine her to be :) Karen, consider a move East :)
