I was doing stuff outside. Realized after awhile that I hadn't seen Riley for a while. I looked thru the house and no Riley!. I panicked big time, I checked his outside kennel ( he has access from his room). No Riley, he wasn't anywhere!. I thought he somehow got outside when I was going outside to fix my truck cover. Found him in the bathroom, with the door closed after I had been in there. He doesn't bark, so don't know how long he would of stayed in there before voicing his confinement. My wife said you were NEVER that concerned over the kids.

That happened with my German shorthair, Casey. She went in the garage and was in front of my car, so I didn't see her when I shut the door. After about a half hour, I decided to go in the house and called her, nothing. My other two dogs came, but Casey didn't. I looked all around the house, in the house. I thought maybe she went in the house. She wore an E collar, so I didn't think she went out of the yard, but I couldn't find her. It was getting dark and I was getting real nervous. I decided to get in my car and take a ride through the neighborhood to see if I could find her. I hit the garage door opener and out came Casey wagging her tail, as if to say , "what took you so long?". She never barked once.

I feel your pain........ That has happened to me 2 x's. It is awful. AND it is like losing your kid. I'm glad he was just in the bathroom.

I hate that feeling. Your so desperate to find them and are in so much panic. My dogs dont bark either its very strange.

I have done this with both of mine and neither one bark either!? Little Kona is especially nosey and it happens to her more often, the closet, the spare bedroom. Just yesterday I wondered were she was and started calling for her, not a peep, then I remembered I had gone in the other bedroom and sure enough, she comes trotting out.....
Funny how you can sense something is just not right, glad everything worked out!

LOL - don't let the kids hear her say that! Wow, I cannot believe he didn't bark - what a good dog.

I have done that before to our chihuahua. Was in tears running outside screaming for him - he was in the pantry! Never made a peep. I know how that feels...yuck!

Wow, It's amazing he was quiet all that time. Did he get the bathroom trash or the toilet paper? That's about the only thing that would have kept Guinness quiet if he was closed in the bathroom.
