Peri pooped in her sleep...

Okay, Peri is approaching 26 months old now and has not had an accident since she deliberately pooped at her friend Max's house after he pooped at our house (6 months old I would say). 

 

Until today.

 

DH just called and said (picture a concerned, shocked voice) "Peri was sleeping on the couch and I smelled something and she stood up, looked at her butt, and pooped!  What in the world???"

 

Friends:  did she just poop in her sleep?  Does anyone have any insight?

 

Also, both dogs ate some cicadas yesterday.  We cannot keep them away from those bugs. Peri's stomach was growling earlier.

 

Hmmmm...very very very unlike our Lady Peri to do this! 

 

We will keep an eye on her.

Lady Peri!!  Those cicadas got the best of you!! But we will never think of you as anything less than a Lady:)

Poor lady P and mom told EVERYONE too! I agree with the looking at her back end that she had no clue! Maybe she will stop eating those gross things now...I bet you were glad you were the one that was away at the time and just had the phone call to deal with it!!! LOL!

I agree with Jane...I think it was a doodle "shart". Poor Lady Peri...I'm sure she was shocked to have something so unladylike happen to her!

I remember that pooping story at Max's.  Hilarious, until Sheila did it too at my friend Nancy's.  Just once, but what the doodle is up w/ that.  All of a sudden today these bugs w/ hard shells came around.  Kinda round.  Anyway, Sheila ate one. Uh oh!!!!!  I wondered why she was so quiet while I was gardening today.  And she was quieter today and wouldn't poop when I took her out tonight.  I hope Peri gets better and its just that.  And thanks for the warning.  How can these little guys get in so much trouble.  My labs could eat lots of junk and never get diarreah--they'd throw up the bird, etc. but to me I'd rather clean up vomit than poop, would you?
