Peri's Big Day...Haircut and the Imposter is Back!

Peri had a huge day yesterday!  She spent the day at daycare, which we don't do as often anymore.  While she was there, she got her hair done at the beauty parlor. I know it is short, but doesn't she look cute?

 

Peri says "Hey mom, cut it out dood!"

 

She also came home to her "Aunt" Lucy (my parents' cairn terrier) in her house. She likes Lucy, but Lucy is a terrier and we all know how terriers can be!  Lucy can get in Peri's space too much and just last week, Peri went for Lucy's ball and Lucy snapped at her.  Sooo, although they can play nicely together, Peri grows tiresome of Lucy.  Mom and dad always bring Lucy's carseat over because Lucy likes to hang out in it during the day - it's kind of like her crate/safespot.  Peri likes to steal it when Lucy's not looking to prove a point.

 

Peri is saying "This is my house you little terrier!"

 

Finally the 3 dogs settled down last night and Peri got back to her favorite spot in the house - Taquito steals this spot frequently.  Peri can sit on this couch and look out 3 different windows and can see the front and backyards, as well as the neighbors backyard and our driveway.  In the photo below, Peri is looking out at the magnolia tree and had just finished up barking at squirrels.

 

Peri is saying "Nobody messes with my house or my people!"

 

The night ended with Lucy stealing Peri's bed in our room.  Peri took one for the team and slept on her old bed that I brought out for Lucy.  Lucy ALWAYS steals her bed when she stays with us. WTD?  I don't have a pic of that!

 

Have a great weekend.  Peri will be happy when the Imposter Lucy leaves.  My parents are looking at property in Western NC to be able to get away from this heat and humidity during the summers.  The place they are staying doesn't take dogs, but where they are looking OF COURSE TAKES DOGS!  Fingers crossed for a family weekend getaway house!
