Picking up Boca

We're on our waaaaayyy :) I will put updates and photos into this blog as I'm able!

UPDATE #1 (12:53 pm PST): Diane called 10 min ago and reported they are on their way with Boca. She was happy, wiggly, tail wagging and seemingly unstressed. Diane said she is tiny but substantial :) Get ready Rosco!

Update #2 (3:28 PM PST): Oh MY DOODLE!!! She is a doll! Very sweet, relaxed, friendly and adorable. We met up with Diane and her hubby about an hour ago in a shopping complex and had ice cream and drinks outside. Now we are on our way home and everybody but Clark and I are fast asleep :) We totally love her little furry cute self :) Get ready Rosco!

Update #3 (9:42 PM PST): Oh what a day! I've got a SUPER whiney doodle here...and it ain't BOCA! Clark is sitting on the floor cuddling with Boca (she's sooo sweet, cuddly, and pretty darn calm yet confident for a puppy!) while watching tv and I'm trying to watch tv and upload pics. She and Rosco seem to get along great...they've played, wrestled, chased, tugged, and Rosco's now busy coveting and whining pathetically after her Wubba and new squeaky toys. He's whining about 10X more than she is while she is crated. He's probably going to wake us up a few times tonight begging for the toys he can't have because he'll destroy in minutes. *sigh* -- silly boy!

We had an uneventful ride home...Boca pretty much collapsed into a nap for the whole ride home. We stopped for a few breaks mostly for baby Natalie as she didn't enjoy the long trip nearly as much.

Boca is fabulous...she really is. Clark is pretty smitten with her too, but I'll let him comment on that =) I'm pooped and probably won't be able to sleep at all tonight...the littlest exciting thing keeps me up and adding a new puppy is not a little thing!

I suffer from the same thing and if I know I have to be up early that kind of interferes with getting to sleep too. But what wonderful excitement and it will soon all be a routine. Don't forget, Bocadoodle is excited too so give her a tiny bit of leeway. As for Rosco, he needs a rubber chicken, wasn't that what he loved, to chew up. You know the older sibling always has to get something too.

I leave the country for a week and Adina gets a puppy. WOW!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is a doll. I am so happy you adopted her :)

Congratulations! Nothing feels as good as rescuing a doggie! I can relate to the "no dirt in my house" comment! I used to feel that way, but now Rufus goes out the doggie door at 3:00a.m. to greet the sprinklers and then runs through my doggie door and jumps on my bed, soaked to the bone!!!! Oh well, that's what washers and dryers are for! Have fun with you new family member.

Boca was feisty this morning...started jumping up on me when I took her outside. But this won't last long because there is NO part of me or Clark that will allow it. She did great through the night. Rosco much less great. He SOOO wants her toys...wants them with all his wanting whining might :-)

F Parker: My sleep sucked...but it had NOTHING to do with anything the dogs did. I just can't handle ANY excitement before bed...NONE...LOL. And I had to get up early...looking forward to a nap today.
