Thank you all for taking the time to respond to
my question last week. We really appreciated your thoughts! I said I wouldn't post any photos of puppies/litters until we came to a conclusion. After pondering the answer to
this question, we decided it was either NOW or never (at least the 'never' that is equivalent to 4+ years). And by then Rosco would be pretty well into an established routine of doing nothing at all. Not sure he'd appreciate a little friend disturbing his peace at that point. Well, we have decided so now it's time for pics!
So this is the litter of 5 week old F1 labradoodles I visited last week:
This apricot girl was one of my favs.
As was this red boy. He is just stunning.
Once again apricot girl
And this is the adorable red girl...a total cutie!
Apricot girl again
Natalie enjoying a puppy attack =)
This visit made me discuss the puppy idea again with Clark. After I asked you all your opinion, we talked more...and then decided. YES. This was the right time for a puppy.
So ... is it going to be Big Red Boy, Dainty Red Girl, or Sweet Apricot Girl? Anyone venture a guess?

Boca is a rescue pup that has been fostered with Doodle Rescue Collective for the past month. She
and 4 siblings had been dumped at a kill shelter in Texas and only she and one sister survived Parvo. We're pretty sure she's an F1 labradoodle. From the moment I saw her a month ago I thought she looked exactly like what we wanted, but I told Jacquie '
it wasn't the right time.'
We both wanted a
black doodle and when Jacquie reminded me about this little one again...I had to find out more. From everything I've heard from her foster family, she's sounds like an awesome, sweet, friendly and well-adjusted pup. Clark is also happy to help with rescue. He thought since we already had a breeder pup in Rosco, it was good to get a rescue. And again...I fell in love with her cute face the first time I saw her! (By the way, there was NOTHING that turned me off to those breeder pups. It really seemed like a great litter from a good breeding. If this little black Texan beauty hadn't won me over, we'd be picking up one of the other pups a week later. )
Boca's arrival date is Monday July 19th -- in fact the DRC may still be looking for some doodle train drivers to take her from a Houston home to the airport. And then from Seattle to us. Contact Liz of the DRC ( lizsyring at comcast dot net ) if you might be able to help that day. The Seattle-to-us ride doesn't even need to take her
all the way to us...even to the top of Snoqualmie Pass or Ellensburg would help tremendously.
Anyway, we're pretty excited as well as nervous...and if I weren't in Southern California, busy visiting family, I would be super impatient till the 19th!
We're getting a puppy....we're getting a puppy!!!
