Oh dear... DH has puppy fever. Bad. We've always felt like we are a 2-dog household, but now is not the time DH.. our 2-legged baby is only 2 months old! Here is a shameless picture of our cutie:

DH isn't the type to run out and buy a puppy on a whim thank goodness.. but he has started researching breeds! He seems to have maybe settled on a mini Australian Shepherd. He's even "settled" on a brown one, something like this.
He's really desperate but I've told him no puppy until our human baby is at least old enough to be mobile... so he'll have to wait until next Summer. I know puppies and babies together are not necessarily a good idea, so we will have to have some serious discussions in the near future. We do want Luna to have a companion and for her to still be fairly young so she can enjoy playing her buddy.
Of course we could wait until our baby is older.. but we are planning on having another child in the next few years so we'd be in the same pickle!
In other news... Winter is coming
and I'd still like to be able to walk Luna when it's reasonably warm (for here... reasonably warm means -10C or about 7 F). So far I've been babywearing with a baby carrier to walk Luna but it's getting mighty cold with my coat open! It won't zip up with a baby strapped to my front. I've been looking into this thing called a kokoala that can extend my nice and toasty Winter coat to keep both of us warm! Of course I likely won't look as stylish as this model but I can try.
Baby is getting her first immunizations today... hopefully she is one of those babies who doesn't freak out and then just sleeps really well for a day or so... but I'm predicting a godzilla-type meltdown and some extreme fussiness.

Your daughter is beautiful. Tell your DH to cool his heels and enjoy the kids he has right now, both two legged and four. I agree with F, last thing you need right now is a puppy. :)
It's 38 degrees here right now, with a windchill of 32; I just took JD for a brief evening walk, and even with mittens, a fleece earband, and a winterweight parka, I was freezing. 7 degrees sounds brutal! Stay warm!
Your baby is so beautiful! I can definitely feel your DH's pain as I periodically go through puppy fever. :-) It definitely seems complicated to time babies and puppies together correctly, but I'm sure you guys will figure it out! Make sure to add a ton of puppy photos when you do get one... :-)
