Remy's First 5 days

Well, we've made it though the first 5 days with a rescue dood! He's AWESOME!!! I can't believe how far he's come in such a short time. We adopted Remy last Saturday and have seem him change so much. He's become the adorable, loving puppy I was hoping for when I got this "bright idea" to become a new mom again. We've been very lucky, from some of the reading I've done. He's 5 months old and ALL legs! He tries to play chase with our beagle, but seems to always run her over! Housebreaking seems to be going well. My son has been home with him this week (leaving for college on Saturday), and I've decided to take off next week to keep him on the "good potty" path.

I am thrilled to hear that things are going to well with Remy!! Nothing like watching our pups - especially the resuces - become happy puppies!! It took Mickey 3 days to come off the step to do anything other than P&P and eat! Today I am thrilled to report that although he is uncomfortable around most strangers, he is just fantastic!!!

Glad to hear Remy is adjusting so well to his new home. Wishing you all continued success and looks like Remy found his forever home with lots of love and attention. Are you crate training him? Just a suggestion for when your working if your concerned about potty training..maybe check into to a dog walker/pet sitter for a daily potty break when you have to work.
