He's been here almost a year now. Despite what seemed like an endless period of potty training, it's been good. (note: We actually discovered our other dog WASN'T potty trained in this process and she was a bigger problem than he was...) He's come into his own in the last few months, turning from a skinny teenager to a "buff dude" (as my daughter refers to him). He is SO affectionate and loving, yet the bark when he sees or hears something not quite to his liking is pretty scary. (Great for those potential prowlers...)

We are finding it's definitely time to start some formal obedience training. Big boys need some direction, but he's smart and eager to please. I don't anticipate him having a difficult time and we hope to get going this summer.

He sounds like a sweetheart!! I know my Lillys bark sounds very (mean) but I don't think she would hurt a fly ;-)

Sounds like it's "all good"! I agree that the housebreaking is a big challenge....it feels great when you're through that period.
