I know last summer I had mentioned that my mother was ill and many people here supported me with comments and prayers.
My mother passed away this past Saturday, May 26th after suffering for over 2 years. I know she is in peace now but it is still difficult for me to think of her not being here. I just keep thinking about all the things she will miss, like my sister's wedding...meeting any grandchildren...etc.
She had started to go more downhill right before my wedding on May 4th and was not able to attend, much to mine and her distress...she did however get to see me in my dress and see my wedding photos, so I am grateful for at least that much.
She passed away quietly in the hospital in Boston while I held her hand.
R.I.P. Mommy.

Katie, I'm sorry for your loss and that you weren't able to share your wedding with your mother. Losing a loved one is never easy. I also understand the pain you feel in knowing that your mother will not be here to see her grandchildren. My father died just months before the birth of his great granddaughter. He would have been thrilled to meet her, but somehow I feel he "knows" her in spirit. May your mother's spirit be always with you!
Katie, I am so sorry for your loss. May the joy of your memories shine through all your sadness.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Katie, I am so sorry. There is never a good time to say good bye to those we love. You were a wonderful, caring, thoughtful daughter to her, and I am sure your mom was so proud of you and loved seeing you in your dress and viewing the photos. The only consolation that will ease your pain right now is knowing that she is not suffering and is at peace.
So very sorry that you lost your mom, Katie. My thoughts and prayers to you and your whole family.
