Rua's Continued Adventures!

Rua here! Momma thinks I am taking a nap while she is downstairs with Papa watching the Minnesota Vikings). Life is going pretty well for me. My Momma keeps buying me new toys and clothes. Yesterday she came home with a rain coat and a pink t-shirt that says "social butterfly". Papa rolled is eyes and gave Momma that look. He did laugh when he saw me in my new t-shirt, though, and said I looked cute. She also bought me 3 new chew toys - something about that being better that the dining room table legs.

Momma also bought me a play room yesterday. Papa calls it a "jail" (whatever that is) but Momma keeps telling him it is her happy place. Again, the eye roll thing from Papa. But, I did hear him later say to Momma "Yes, dear. You were right dear. I love you."

I had my first snow on Friday night. It wasn't bad, until I had to go out Saturday morning. It was up to my tummy and I couldn't find the grass. Momma cleared a spot in the snow for me so I could find the grass and I was quite relived (literally).

Papa is finally becoming training in on telling Momma what I did when he takes me outside. I heard him say "solid and orange" yesterday without Momma even asking. The orange part was pumpkin...I had a bit of a upset tummy as was making "pudding poos".

Tuesday I am going to be 16 weeks old and I FINALLY get my big girl shots. I'll finally be able to talk my parents into taking me to the doggie park I have heard so much about. Hopefully next weekend the weather will cooporate!

My puppy pre-school is really fun. Momma spends time every day helping me with my homework. I had to learn my "marker" word, my name, how to sit, lay down, stand, stay, calm/settle, leave it (this one is new and I am not the best at it yet), and how to walk next to Momma on a loose leash. Since I have been catching on pretty quickly (I am a Doodle, afterall), Momma has also been having me "shake" and work on "roll over". I got shake part down pretty well, but the roll over is still a work in process. I heard Momma tell Papa that she has been reading DK about all of the really smart Doodles that are in training and she is going to continue to take me to training classes. I am all for that...that means time with Momma and TREATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Momma is really excited about Christmas card exchange. She is going to call tomorrow and schedule my photo session. Before I even left my breeders, Momma purchased a "Groupon" photo package...we get a 11x14, two 5x7's and a digital image file. She is hoping that I will sit still. If you could get the word out to her to bring some really, really, really high-value treats with her, I just might be good!

Momma is getting crocked right now...or something like that. The house really is smelling good right now...all kinds of good smells are coming out of that pot on the kitchen counter. I sure hope she forgets that silly rule of hers about not letting me eat what she gets. Actually, I think I have a better chance if I approach Papa. He doesn't always remember that.

Time to finish my nap! I need my strength so I can make sure I exercise my parents enough.

Rua, you are just the tiniest little thing ever. How big are you going to get anyway? I look at you in that play room and you look like a little stuffed lovie. Absolutely the cutest thing ever!!!! And yes, you are a very smart Doodle for sure. I had to laugh when you said your Momma was getting crocked!!! You silly girl...keep up the stories. I love them!

Rua - Rooney here. Guess what - I am flying to Michigan for the week of Thanksgiving and I do so hope there is some of that stuff you are calling snow. I saw all of your new pictures and of course you are one beautiful doodle, I love you. Rooney P.S. I learned to do "high five" for treats but tomorrow night I start going to school, I'm a little bit nervous. I'll let you know.

Rua - Do you have a Vikings t-shirt? I think my mom is going to buy me one...especially if they keep winning! I get to Minnesota on Thursday so I hope there is some snow left for me by then - although my mom would prefer if we could do a few weeks of potty training without snow.
