[Dori & Rua]

Rua's MOM here for a change.  Rua just went to bed...and as usual, she doesn't make any fuss.  And, as usual, when my alarm goes off tomorrow morning, and after I hit the snooze a few times, she'll get up when I open the crate.

 

I have 5 fabulous days off!  No work, no shopping to do (except for some wine).  Don't have to clean house, cook dinner or clean up after!  I am LOVING that!  We will drive north to Shoreview Minnesota on Christmas Eve early AM as my DH has to work tomorrow.  Rua will accompany us north (she was invited back)!  She is an incredible traveler.  She slept or was just content to lay down in her little travel kennel (we made two potty stops) for the 6-1/2 hours.

 

The photographer I used for Rua's Christmas picture emailed me to tell me my other photos were ready.  He had mentioned before that he would like to include Rua's picture on his website under his pet portfolio.  I really want to protect the privacy of my little Rua so I had to think long and hard about that one...NOT! 

 

Also, I sent my breeder one of Rua's Christmas Photo cards.  I received an email from him this evening that said, and I, quote "Thank you so much for the Christmas card and picture of Rua.  You win best looking doodle, best pose, best picture.......of the year award."

 

Our Director at work loved the picture so much, he actually wanted a copy and has it displayed in HIS office along with all of his grandkids!

 

At my husband's boss' office in Edina, they have Rua's picture posted and she is their office mascot!

 

 

I just love her to pieces!  I was never blessed with children and there might be a possibility that she is the center of my life right now.

 

So...does this make this a bragging blog or a blogging brag!

Thank you! She is a little cutie patooie! She is handling the whole Christmas thing pretty well. We kept her in her travel kennel most of the time. Right now there are 33 of us andshe is shooing thru all of it. I will post pictures of her opening her presents once we are home and I came upload my pictures. Merry 1st Christmas with your baby Dori!!!!   She is a perfect little cutie pie!   I understand how crazy you are about her (how could you NOT be??!!)....and am happy to know there are so many others who share my "affliction"!   Banjo is the "light" of my life and has even found a that special soft spot in my husband's (Mr. Former Marine/Former Cop!) heart (much to my surprise and delight!).

Dori - Rua is a true princess!  Beautiful!!!!  We all brag about our doodles here - me more than most - and thats the beauty of DK - people don't mind or think us nuts - LOL.  My three children are gown and I don't live near them, I don't have grandchildren yet and DH works out of state, my life revolves around Rooney too!  I'm so happy you have Rua in your life to bring you such joy.  Rooney sends his love - have a Merry Christmas & Wonderful New Year.
