I just found out tonight that my veterinarian has metastatic pancreatic cancer. She is a young, caring and wonderful vet. She has four kids under the age of 13. Full of life and enthusiasm, she exudes good cheer whenever you see her. She ran a marathon in  November. I am so saddened by this news. I can't even begin to make sense of this.

Oh, my.  I'm a hospice nurse, so I have a pretty good idea of what this journey is going to look like, both for her and her family.  I have a running list of questions for the Big Guy when/if I get up there.  I'll add this to the list, along with prayers for all.

Sorry to hear that. My sister died in 1996 at 42 with 2 young teens. There is no way to make sense of it - ever. Her zest for life may serve her well - it's always hard to predict.
