About Me:: I am a hospice nurse who sees terminally ill people in their homes. Fortunately, my area is now proximate to my home, so I can pop in once or twice a day to get some Chili and Guiness lovin'.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Chili is a 65 lb cream labradoodle, about 5 yrs old. We adopted him through IDOG in March 2010, and he changed our lives He's been such a joy, that we decided to double the love. We adopted Guiness through DRC, thanks to Jeannine. We were in the process of attempting to adopt a different doodle, and when Jeannine brought over Guiness (who she had dubbed Dexter in the 24 hrs that she had him) to see how Chili did with another dog in his home, we were goners in 5 minutes. He's a 7 month old black labradoodle, weighing in at 50 lbs, expected to top out at 80 lbs. The boys have become best buds and do everything together. We feel very blessed.

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Rescue

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: After much research, I just knew that a doodle would be a perfect match. The no shedding was a plus. As it turns out, Chili does shed, but I couldn't care less. Haven't seen much black hair on my clothes yet from Guiness, but if he's a shedder, too, so be it!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Play chase, throw the ball, wrestle, and just watch them when they're playing together.

Does your doodle(s) shed?: Yes!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: Am going to try a new grooming salon that recently opened near our home.

Favorite Doodle Products?: Mine is the Les Poochs brush. Theirs is anything Kong with green fuzz!

Our house is quiet and empty with only Mater. It probably won't last long though! Cash came over when they put the leash on him like he was asking my permission to go. I told him yes and gave him a hug, and off he went with his tail wagging and his new family. Beautifully right somehow.
