Jesse never saw any bright light or tunnel. I asked.
But now there is a light that we are both seeing. Jess was not feeling all that great yesterday, but today he had a little more zip in his step. (Albeit walker assisted) I worked and decided to take a day off Mayo. I only called Jess about a dozen times. He sounded optimistic with each call. He is ready to move forward having another day like he had today where progress can be felt.
Jess stayed busy. He had his swallow therapy, O.T. and P.T. He had visitors during the day and some in the evening. My brother-in-law reported that he found Jess inspiring. That I need to believe in his spirit and that he has a strong will. This is true, we have all witnessed this miracle.
Doctors come in and say little. Jess needs a procedure for his gall bladder but the doctors are waiting this out for now. With this in question and a tweaking of his meds, he will stay hospitalized a little longer. Jess sees that his balance is improving and he feels more confident with his legs. In no time he will be able to walk Phoebe. He is counting on it.
I am looking forward to spending the day with Jess tomorrow. We will get him dressed in real clothes and take advantage of the patio privileges.
