Socialite Status!!

YIPPEE!!  I made it to doodle Socialite!!!!!! (insert falling confetti) 

Here are my observations since joining DK in January -

*  As I'm stacking up doodle points, I'm noticing other things stacking up as well such as -  papers I have to check, books to be read and put away (still have snowman books on the shelf in the classroom), data to record and analyze, laundry to take care of and dishes to wash, phone calls to return, communications with people outside DK (yes, I still associate with non DKr's:)......   

*  TIME ceases to exist when I open the DK page on my computer.  I begin to respond to "just a few" posts at the end of the school day before cleaning my desk and getting ready for tomorrow, when I look up and discover it is 4 hours later, then 6 hours, then...  Where does that time go???? 

*  Non DK folks just don't understand...  I was having a converstation with non DK family members and they just couldn't keep up!?  I said something like, "BG on DK......Spud's toe....Laurie and her DH....Fudge and Vern...Vern's tail....a bridge....and her DD....an eyetooth and bikini....F said (a big word I can't spell)...TOTW is really good, so is BB and some like NB but NOT PPC and using C-N-C as a food topper is not good, Karen says something about sugar and other ingrediants I can't pronounce...melted whale fat, dead skunk and human poo are disgusting.... we get tired of eating brownies every day (I actually don't get that one)....an intercourse shirt....and..... "  at that point they all said something about me being crazy!  Like I said they just don't understand!!!

*  My final observation - This blog would be a lot more interesting if I knew how to add cute pictures, sparklies, bouncy faces, etc.=:-}}}  Hint, Hint... 

I have not been on DK all that long and have a lot of time to put in before earning the covetted Hopeless Doodle Addict Status but during my time on DK I have come to admire the connections and committment you have all made to your doodles and to each other.

You are bonkers, Lori, but then again so are the rest of us.  I don't get on my computer at home unless I need to find the phone number of a takeout joint so the only time I am on DK is at work if I have a free moment or 47 and yet here I am, a "Doodle Fancier". 

I actually don't talk much about DK to my husband as he already has a long list of things to mock me about and I don't want to give him more ammunition.  And no one else understand my Stanlee Addiction, my whole family thinks I'm nuts. I may have to start a DA group here if it gets any worse.

So true! So well described.  I, too am a Socialite!  I check all the time. My husband laughs at me!  I have studiously avoided the photography pages because I fear I will spend even more time on here!  But at least now, I now look forwarded to my retirement!  

I have a play date Sunday with a fellow DK'er- she is not on here often, but she knows the lingo so I look forward to meeting her and her doodle.  

I have def drunk the koolaid- and am glad I did!

I think some of us have stopped speaking to non-DKers because they just don't get it! My DH tried for awhile but I've given up on him. I don't say a word to my DS and DDIL unless it's about their kiddos. The only one I can talk DK with is my DD and phew! so glad about that. She is on DK so she knows all the people I'm describing and can engage in conversation with me. Find yourself a local DKer or convert someone. ;o)

Yes, you are a true member of DK and it is the greatest site ever!  My house has never been the same since I joined DK!  LOL   Who cares, we have met some of the greatest people ever and we all have one wonderful thing in common, a Doodle and it doesn't get better then that:)
