Sophie came home with me on Wednesday February 23, 2011. She is nine weeks old and is absolutely the best thing that has ever happened to me. She makes me laugh with her silly antics, and melts my hear when she runs to me and cuddles up in my lap. She loves playing with her toys and romping in the snow. Sophie bear is the most affectionate and friendly puppy I've ever known. She greets everyone who passes by her and if they don't stop to say hello she gets sad. Sophie loves to sleep on my winter boots so much that I had to put the boots in her crate so that she would go in there. She nuzzels her nose right inside the foot part of the boot. So Cute!! She is also a smart little girl. She walks well on her leash and has learned to sit, go potty outside and has almost conquered the stairs. Pretty soon she will be grown up, but I wish she could stay a baby forever.

@Gayle, I might not be the best one to ask about that because her breeder actually taught her to use the crate before I brought her home. The first night she cried a little but settled down when I pulled her crate right next to me. She slept five and a half hours. Now, after only one week, she sleeps 7 hours.  Never an accident in her crate. She still has accidents in the house from time to time but I think she knows she is supposed to go outside. You have to be really vigilant and watch her for signs she has to go. If she squats to go, you have to startle her to make her stop, pick her up and rush her outside, keep repeating "lets go outside" or whatever your marker will be for potty... After a few days you will learn her schedule and take her out automatically. She knows she gets a treat everytime she goes outside, sometimes I think she's faking it just to get a treat because the snow isn't yellow when she finishes. She's a funny girl. I'm very lucky to have her!!

She will always be your baby no matter how old she gets the only difference is that you will have a 65+lbs doggie on your lap then this tiny one. And she'll be able to reach the tabletop Hahahhahah:)

Oh she is so adorable!  It makes me want my new puppy NOW!  (Won't be born until May...so I don't get her until early July!  Any tips on how you spent the very first nights together with crate training?  Also, did you take her out every couple of hours during the night or waited until she cried?  Can't believe  you've already house-trained her!!  She looks to be a very smart and loveable doggie!  Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks for all the compliments everyone! She is truly a wonderful little girl. And thanks to Ginny for the photography advice. I am keen to learn more about how to take better pictures of her. She's funny though, evertime I take out the camera she starts jumping up and trying to chew on it. I can't keep her far enough away to snap a good photo unless she is sleeping. I managed to snap these two before she started to become curious about the camera. I want to take some photos of her playing in the snow but I know she will just jump on me if I take out the camera. She's hilarious. If I distract her with toys or treats then she will be moving around too much for me to take a good shot. Oh well, the memories of my little Sophie Bear will always stay in my heart. :o)
