Stranded

We are stranded in Virginia. We left Canada for Florida at 5am on Friday and here we are in Winchester Virginia for another night. Our plan was to be in Florida early Sunday morning but we hope to be leaving here at that time. Some of you may already know that there was a major snowstorm (at least for here) and the highways were closed in some spots. Accidents and cars and tractor trailers in ditches all along I85.

We are going stir crazy, the kids are bored and anxious to get to Disney World but the dogs are having a blast. I found a spot behind the hotel to let them run in the snow and they are loving it. Many hotel guests are watching them play in the snow either through their windows or by coming outside. I have been asked numerous times what kind of dogs they are. I don't think they have seen too many goldendoodles.

I'm glad the dogs are happy but I got to get out of here. Going to try early in the morning, wish me luck.

By now I am sure you made it to Florida. Have a great trip and keep me posted about the long drive with the doodles. Me are probably going to take off in late Feb. for the sunny south and we want to bring Thomas.

Hi Lindas, as I am writing this u are probably on your way to us here in Florida. Well the weather here is kind of cool, actually cold for us, lol, it reached about 62 today here and at night is going to be around 40. But they say it will warm up, so come on down and just have fun. You may not have swimming weather, but it will be great weather for Disney World...It can be brutal there when it is hot...Hope all is well, drive carefully, and let us know where u are, and when u get to Disney...Hugs to all...Cheryl

My Aunt is in Waynesboro VA and has reported 31.5 inches of snow! Please don't get anxious and leave too soon ...... there is nothing in FL worth having an accident over. When the roads start moving again traffic is going to be terrible I'm sure! Please travel safe! You have precious cargo!

Further up in North Jersey I'd say 6-8". I just let them melt and walk around wiping the floor : )
