Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
More often than not, I win our fights over anything and everything, and believe me we are quite passionate when it comes to arguing. One major battle I have lost at present, however, is the Milton in the bed. Despite my recent post when countless readers told us to give in and let Milt up, Jeff still bluntly refuses. He is resolute that our doodle is just too much of a dirty dog to be a cuddle bunny in bed.
This has left me with no other option than to join Milt down in his lair. Recently, I have taken to squeezing in next to the Milt in the early morning hours for a little "Momma and Me" time.

Truthfully, I pity Jeff because he's the one missing out, not us.

That's a funny picture. Not sure if Milton looks thrilled by you hogging his bed. As of last Friday, Auggie has been sleeping in his bed upstairs in our bedroom. No more crate for the night. He is pretty good at not jumping on our bed at night. He gets on the bed only after my DH takes him out around 6am before leaving for work. I love it!
I'm not for my doodles in bed, they get way too dirty and I have a expensive white comforter and almost white carpet !!!! I do snuggle with my doodles on the couch though. My BF likes to snuggle with them in bed and I do allow it every once in a while. But my Sasha thinks that once you let her do something like that it is the norm... so when the BF is not here I now have to close my bedroom door so I can have my sleep and enjoy my whole bed to myself. So ..... no doodles in bed :(
Geez Mom, won't let me hog your bed and now you hogging mine.
My DH was the same way for years and all of our dogs would get a firm kick if they ventured to his side --they eventually gave up...until our first Labradoodle, Mattie--she is so much like a little person, that DH wouldn't dare kick her out and now she occupies the pace at the foot of the bed. The other two sleep downstairs, because if we couldn't bear to kick them out, there would definitely be sleepless nights!
This photo is so cute--Milt looks like he is saying, "how are we both gonna fit when I grow a little more..."
LOL....I wish I could fit in the crate! Very funny picture! Such a personal issue...if both parties aren't on board with sharing the bed I think DH wins.
Would he maybe agree to just some right before bedtime or first thing in the am cuddle time! Or maybe just on the week-ends. Our girls really don't like sleeping in the bed. They get to hot. However, we do occasionally do some snuggle time before we put them in their room for the night.
:-}
Such a cute photo!
