Summer Temps - No Pool for Penny

Summer is poking its head around the corner here in Arizona, with temps at 100 degrees the last couple of days. You would think that Penny would be diving into the pool at the first opportunity, but she's just not a water dog. Well... she does love the sprinklers, but only likes to hang around the pool while Ron swims and does his exercise. It would be fun to see her swim, but I have to admit that I appreciate not having her smell like wet dog all the time!

Looks so warm and beautiful down there! Well, I will be getting a taste of that weather today and this weekend with temps in the 80's but unfortunately, I have no pool :( Looks like a good time in or out of the water!

Max hasn't tried to get in our pool yet so I'm hoping when it's warm enough for us to get in he will follow.

Sam will be happy to teach her how to swim. Since we live on Lake Michigan with a beach and water out our door, I know I will have a perpetually wet dog all summer. He is just waiting for it to get warmer. The pics are from last July.

Hannahchicken and Honeychicken both hate water, the only time they are good with water so far is at the groomers. I wish they did love to swim, I would find a pool and enjoy it with them...lol.

Marlow has not made a move for the pool yet either! I wonder if he will be a swimmer? Lola won't go near it since she fell in chasing ducks in Feburary when we first moved here. Ron had to go and pull her out of the pool at 2am and she has never gone in since! I do agree.....the part about the wet dog smell might be nice not to have!

Must be nice! It just snowed here last week! We still have a mini iceberg in the back yard and I still have to wear a thick coat (not jacket...coat) booohooo!!! I want to move there!
