About Me:: We have four children of the two legged kind between us, one daughter who is 23 & three boys, 17, 16 & 13. Kai is Keith's first dog EVER! Kathy has had German Shepherds, Labs & Goldens in the past.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Kai is a medium size Australian Labradoodle.

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: Keith said any dog that will make you happy as long as it doesn't shed. Kai doesn't and we are both totally smitten with him.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: We love to go for walks at the Strand. We enjoy the dog beach in Long Beach. Kai likes car rides, kayaking and hiking too!

Does your doodle(s) shed?: Nope!

Favorite Doodle Products?: Les Pooches Brush and Bully Sticks

It's hard to believe that Kai is five months old! Our latest adventure was the dog beach in Long Beach. He wasn't sure what to think of it at first but then he loved it!

We just got back from vacation in Aruba. Kai spent the week at "camp". We use a place in El Segundo called Greatful Dogs. There are no cages (The dogs sleep on dog beds in rooms with a person and during the day the run around the facility, they even have pools for them!) and everyone their is so nice. Kai is four months old!

Kai has been home with us now for eight weeks. He has grown so much! When he arrived he was 6 pounds today he is 16! It's been a busy time here. He has gone kayaking, swimming, hiking and walking on the strand.

Now that he is four months old we have added the dog park and doggie day care to his list of things to do.

One month and loving it!

Kai has been with us for one month now. Things have changed around here! First there is the pool for his swimming pleasure. He is after all a California Doodle!

Where it was once Keith & Kathy at Starbuck's and walking on the Strand, Kai is now a regular in what people nicely call his Doggie Sling, really a front pack that keeps him away from other possibly non vaccinated dogs.

He has the potty bells down. :-)

Thanks everyone for all your welcome home wishes for Kai!

Kai has been home since Friday. We are having the best time with him! He has a playmate next door, our neighbors teacup poodle Daisy. They have a great time together.

He has two speeds go and sleep. There doesn't seem to be an in between. He is knocking on the doors and or his bells when he needs to go out. He is sleeping very peacefully in his crate with his Snuggle Puppy. He lays on his bed when we eat dinner and… Continue

I went last year and it seemed like a great group. We'll go once we have our pup. He's not coming home until he's 12 weeks, since we don't have a yard. I really don't want to do the puppy training in the house thing and then again for outside. So thankfully, the breeder has agreed to keep him and crate train him etc.

Thank you also for the breeder recommendation. We have decided on a puppy from a breeder outside LA - Cherry Valley Labradoodles. We are so excited to have a puppy in the house again soon. He should be coming home to us in about a month.
